For my initial post about our RV Adventures, I will post our most recent outing and it’s at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence but for two (2) holidays now for 2021, Independence Day and Labor Day, we happened to book and stay in the same RV Campground. Well, we’ve tried to book in State Parks and Private Campground but most are booked so we decided to check RV Campgrounds in Military Facilities and it never failed us, we always get booked and we are very glad actually because it is so clean and peaceful at this particular campground. It really serves the purpose why we go camping on weekends if we can to be close to nature and relieve us of the stress of life in the city.
Just to give you a short background how our RV Adventures came about. It started when we went camping in the Hill Country in Texas in April of 2014. We were in a raw camp site with nothing but the site itself. No water, no electricity, as in nothing. To some it may be exciting but not to me. I remember I saw people who stayed in the campground in their RVs and that was when we started checking and searching RVs and bought one over a year later. We’ve been RVing for almost 5 years and we enjoyed every moment of it.
Going back to Abardeen Proving Ground, this is one of our favorite campgrounds for the reason I mentioned a while ago. We feel close to nature which made both our stays so relaxing because it has a lake where people can fish and go boating, not to forget the huge trees surrounding the entire campground. It also has a playground for children as well as a swimming pool.
Let me share with you some of the pictures that we took during our Labor Day weekend stay.
