Albanian Food

I was searching for a restaurant where I can treat my husband for his birthday when, after more than a month in my search, I encountered this restaurant in Stamford, Connecticut serving Albanian food. I became very curious because besides not having tried Albanian food, ever, in the past, they have a very good review. So despite worrying that my husband will not like, I could not tell him it was a surprise, I decided to make a reservation. I only told my husband where we were going while we are on our way to the restaurant, on his birthday, because we had to use the GPS😄. Imagine my anxiousness if he will like it or not. 🥴

So we arrived at the restaurant, and I did not like it that no one even greeted us considering that I made our reservations several days ahead. My heart was beating so fast from worry😟. Then here comes a guy in what looks like a costume, he led us to our table and asked what we would like to drink, so that made me feel a little better.

As we were ordering, I started to feel better because the guy who was obviously Albanian, was so nice and I observed that my husband was liking the place because it was different from all the restaurants we have been to in our travels.

Then here comes the food we ordered, tasted the first one that was served and I told myself that I made the right decision in choosing this restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Let me share with you some of the food we savored on that day.
