Chicken and Pork Adobo with a Twist

I’m a little exhausted today for I only had few hours of sleep but I promised myself I will post at least one blog daily so here I am.

One of the Filipino dishes that is known world wide is Chicken or Pork Adobo. It’s actually one of the easiest recipes you can cook yet you will not forget it delectable taste. So today since I am so exhausted and do not feel like preparing complicated dish, I thought it’s a perfect time to cook Adobo for dinner.

For the ingredients I have the following:

Chicken and Pork ( I thought of slicing the meat smaller than the usual size for it to look different)

Vinegar and Soy Sauce (I used particular brand but it’s okay for you to use what is the available vinegar and soy sauce to you)

Garlic (the more the better, for me)

Onion or Shallot

Pepper corn

Eggs

Stuffed Olives

Parsley or green onion (garnishing)

How I prepared it was I put the chicken and pork in the pot, added minced garlic, pepper corn, chopped onion then the vinegar and soy sauce. I let it cook until chicken and pork is tender and the sauce looks thicker. You can also sauté it if you’d like it that way but I prefer to cook it the easiest way.

You will notice that I do not have specific measurement and this is because I estimate the amount. My advice is that you trust taste.

Here’s the finished product!

For the twist, I added fried egg, stuffed Olives and parsley for garnishing. Of course any Adobo is not complete without rice.

Try it and let me know if you like it 😋👌🏼!

Thank you again, don’t forget to follow me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and till next blog.
