Corned Beef is known worldwide to be an ingredient in different regional dishes but I’m sure you know that it was a popular meal during World War I and World War II. Now in the Philippines, it is not considered as an ingredient in dishes rather it’s cooked and prepared as the dish itself and the most common way of preparing it is what I will blog about today but I put a little twist, as usual.
Ingredients:
Corned Beef
Diced Potato (2 pieces)
Tomato (1 medium size)
Chopped Onion (I used 1 medium size white onion)
Roasted Garlic Powder (amount depends on your preference)
Salt and Pepper to taste
Chopped Green Onion (for garnishing)
How I prepared it:
- I pre-cooked the diced potatoes by frying it before sautéing so it will not taste raw (sometimes they do).
- Then I added the chopped onion, tomato and roasted garlic to sauté it.
- Once sautéed, I added the corned beef then salt and pepper to taste.
- I used the chopped green onion for garnishing.

Here it is, Corned Beef Pinoy Style and of course, served with white rice 👌🏼😋!
You can also enjoy it with any bread of your choice if you do not eat rice 😄.
Thank you again for letting me share this favorite Filipino dish and I hope you will try it and if you will, let me know if you like it.
