Hale, Maryland

Hale, Maryland

I am a huge Julia Roberts fan and for that reason that I added visiting the place where her movie Runaway Bride was filmed in my bucket list simply because (besides loving the movie itself) I liked how Hale, Maryland looked in the movie and I felt like I can live there. So I searched for it and I found out that the movie was filmed almost entirely in this quaint town in Maryland called Berlin. For more than a year now, I have been planning of going there, in fact I follow their page on social media. Finally this last Saturday, my dream came true and it was not a disappointment. It was as I imagined it, a place where I can live and grow old.

As usual, I am going to share with you our visit through photos and I will try my best to show the REAL and REEL.

The diner in the movie.
The diner during our visit.
Victorian Charm at present and it still has the same name.
The house used in the movie but only the interior, they used a different one to show the front.

They did the same thing with the church. I believe the front of the church used in the movie is not from Berlin rather in Baltimore. However the interior shots were done at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Berlin.

There you have it, thank you again for letting me share this beautiful town and I highly recommend it for a weekend getaway.
