Have you traveled internationally with your fur baby? How was the experience? What kind of preparation did you do?
I asked because last month I went on an unplanned trip to the Philippines and because it was unplanned, I did not have ample time to prepare Baby Coco‘s documents to be admitted in the country where I went. I have all his updated vaccination records, he is micro-chipped already but I needed more time to meet the requirement of the country I visited from their Bureau of Animal Industry.
Since our Shih Tzu became part of my family, every where I go he is with me including the bathroom (he stays at the door) and if you have been following or reading my blogs about Coco, you know that he is like my child. That was why the day I left, I was heart-broken. I felt so sad and worried if he will still remember me because my trip was for 3 weeks. Fortunately for me, my husband was there who was very much willing to take care of him. During the entire time that I was away, my husband kept me updated and he would always tell me that Coco sat for hours by the window maybe looking or waiting for me. That he would even sleep there until the wee hours of the morning.

The experience of traveling without my fur baby was so difficult that I told myself I will do everything in order that next, I will not have to leave him. This became my promise to myself the moment I saw his reaction when they (husband and Coco) picked me up at the airport. He was so excited to see me that his body was shaking and licked my face (nonstop) including my clothes like he has never done before. The only time that he settled down was when I sat inside the vehicle and told him that Mommy is not leaving anymore without him. He slept on my lap the entire drive home.

Please share your experience with us if you happened to travel and leave your fur baby. If you traveled WITH your (fur) baby, the more that I would like to hear about it so please share it with us as well 😄.
Thank you for allowing me to share this experience to all of you, don’t forget to follow for more blogs and till next time!
