Do you like doing long drives? If so, what and where is your longest drive to date?
Our longest road trip was from Danforth, Maine to Springfield, Oregon (3,426 miles one way) back in 2012. Last week, we went to Texas to visit family. My husband, by the way, is born and raised in
Austin, Texas. We drove a total of 3310 miles, back and forth. It was not easy particularly with the present price of diesel fuel, not to forget the expense in hotel stays. Let us share with you our difficult drive (fun at the same time) to Texas through these photos.
Day 1: The first leg of our trip started in Allentown, PA then we spent the night in Knoxville, TN. It was close to a 10-hour drive.

Day 2: Finally, we reached Texas but not our destination yet. From where the photos were taken, we still had a good 6 more hours of drive.

Day 3: We finally reached our destination but before that, we had to visit one of our favorite places to eat in Texas. This bakery in Waco has been selling good pastries and breads since 1896.

Day 4: Our mission in Texas was completely accomplished now that we visited this BBQ place in Royse, City and my husband’s favorite ice cream place. But before that, we had to stop by the famous Buc-ee’s and we were there at a perfect time because their mascot happened to be in that particular branch 😄.

Day 5: The last day and leg of this road trip was the most exhausting especially that we decided to just go on and drive for over 25 hours instead of staying another night in a hotel. The reason being was because we wanted to return home earlier and sooner so we can get enough time to rest in preparation for work the following morning.

We will not do this long drives for a while but it was fun despite being so exhausting and expensive too.
Thank you for allowing me share this experience and I would love to hear your long drive experiences as well!
